Welcome to my new blog, Shots From The Taperoom. I love hockey, I’ve watched and also played at a somewhat high level for my area and still lace ‘em up for a good time when I’m not too swamped with work and school. I still keep up with a lot of different leagues and issues involved with the game of hockey and enjoy watching the evolution of the sport on and off the ice in different levels of skill. This blog will not be me pretending to cover and report on any specific team or league. I feel as though there are enough coat tail riding “beat reporters” on the internet already. Instead I will attempt to offer my opinion on issues that get discussed by hockey players about playing hockey. Where these things get kicked around is normally when you’re taping your stick. I’ll also do my best to also present my $0.02 in a somewhat intelligent manner. Remember that I’m not writing for TSN and you’re not making the NHL so have fun when you read this and when you get on the pond too. Enjoy.
